Credit Controller - Leeds City Centre£30,000-£35,000 + excellent benefits
Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days at home)
A respected and professional business based in Leeds City Centre is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join its established finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is meticulous, confident in building strong client relationships and able to communicate clearly at all levels. The role offers hybrid working and is within easy walking distance of major transport links.
Duties
You’ll play a key part in managing the group’s sales ledger and ensuring healthy cash flow across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing client invoicing and maintaining the sales ledger
2. Carrying out credit control activities, including proactive chasing of overdue debt
3. Working closely with clients to ensure timely payment of invoices
4. Handling bank overdraft facility accounting transactions and reconciliations
5. Producing monthly debt KPI reports
6. Monitoring shared inboxes and resolving queries
7. Supporting the purchase ledger team and providing cover for supplier payments when needed
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
8. Proven experience in sales ledger, credit control, and cash reconciliations
9. Strong IT skills, including solid Excel knowledge
10. Excellent communication and listening skills
11. The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
