Location: London, The Wellington Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times:Service is open from 08:00 to 20:00.

We’re looking for a Stereotactic superintendent to join our Stereotactic team service at The Wellington, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

Duties & responsibilities:
1. Maintain exemplary professional standards and quality assurance in all aspects of patient care.
2. Be responsible for the accurate planning or administration ofGamma Knife treatments ensuring accurate documentation of treatments in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
3. Providing leadership to ensure the smooth and effective running of the SABR/SRS/SRT weekly meeting.
4. In conjunction with Team lead and senior radiographic staff, agree, implement and monitor systems of work, quality assurance procedures and protocols.
5. Maintain effective liaison with all appropriate multi-disciplinary staff to ensure the provision of a high-quality service and a smooth and efficient work flow through the department.
6. In conjunction with other health professionals, support and participate in a team approach to problem solving leading to the continued development of the Gamma knife service and SABR / SRS / SRT MDT.
7. Operate Gamma knife equipment in accordance with operational procedures ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
8. Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the Stereotactic Radiotherapy Service Manager and Lead Gamma KnifePhysicist.
9. The post holder will manage staff and patients and will be responsible for carrying out all practical aspects involved in preparing Gamma Knife treatments. The post holder must be qualified to practice as an operator within radiotherapy as defined by IR(ME)R and have a responsibility, to ensure compliance with all HCA policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and employees.
10. The post holder will work closely with the MRL Superintendentprovidingpeer support and cross-cover for the MR Linac (MRL) Service as needed.
11. Work collaboratively with the wider superintendent team on operational matters across both facilities.
12. Deputise the Stereotactic Radiotherapy Service Manager as needed.

What you’ll bring:
13. DCR(T)/BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
14. HCPC registration
15. Advanced knowledge of patient management systems and governance systems.
16. Minimum of 5 years qualified radiotherapy experience.
