Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities? Do you hold a British Sign Language qualification? We are looking for a committed and compassionate teaching assistant who has a BSL qualification to join our dedicated team, providing 1:1 support for a child with SEND.
This post is fixed term until 31st August 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey. You will work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to deliver personalised support, helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate with be able to:
• Provide tailored one-to-one support to a child with SEND
• Use BSL to aid communication and engagement in the classroom
• Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour plans
• Foster an inclusive, safe and nurturing learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENDCO, parents and other professionals both within and outside of the school
• promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being
• demonstrate a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion
