We are supporting a well established, West Yorkshire engineering business in the appointment of a Managing Director to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth.
The business designs and manufactures specialist capital equipment supplied to customers within the food production sector. With a strong reputation for engineering quality and long standing customer relationships, the organisation is well positioned to build on its heritage and accelerate growth both in the UK and internationally.
This is a genuine full P&L leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the future direction of a respected SME business.
The Role:
Reporting to the Group CEO, the Managing Director will take full responsibility for the performance and development of the business. Key responsibilities include:
* Driving commercial growth and expanding the customer base
* Developing new market opportunities in the UK food market and internationally
* Leading customer engagement and key account relationships
* Supporting product innovation aligned to evolving market needs
* Leading and developing a multi functional team across sales, engineering and operations
The Person:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven leader with experience in machinery, engineered products or capital equipment manufacturing environments (ideally supplying the food or process industries). You will:
* Have a proven track record of P&L leadership within an SME or division
* Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to win and develop customer relationships
* Be comfortable operating in a hands on autonomous leadership role
* Have the credibility to lead both customers and internal teams
* Bring energy, pace and a desire to lead change
