This is an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Improvement Manager to join the Risk & Assurance team. You’ll be joining a team that’s collaborative, curious, and committed to doing things better. So, if you’re passionate about making a real impact and driving meaningful change, you’ll feel right at home here. We are looking for an experienced individual that values collaboration, is passionate about what they do and making a difference. If you love turning business data into action and helping the organisation learn and evolve, this is the role for you. What will my working week look like? As you would expect, no two weeks are alike, however, this is a role that is highly deadline-driven, so your week will be shaped by key reporting cycles, improvement activities, and delivering insights that matter. You’ll be reviewing performance, preparing reports, and leading on deep dives to triangulate a clear performance picture that senior leaders and the Board can act on. You will be homebased, living within the Northwest, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately once or twice a week. What will I be responsible for doing? First and foremost, you’ll own our performance reporting framework — setting clear standards, defining KPIs, and making sure the reporting is accurate, insightful, and decision-ready. One of the great things about this role is that it isn’t just about reporting numbers — it’s about leading and coordinating activities that come together to drive results, reduce risk, and embed a culture of continuous improvement You’ll lead lessons-learned reviews, deep dives, and benchmarking exercises to uncover what’s working and what needs to change. You’ll turn performance data into stories that drive action, embedding continuous improvement across the organisation. Because we’re a learning organisation, you’ll lead improvement opportunities by bringing together performance data, benchmarking, and business analysis and reviews — turning insight into action that helps us work smarter. And what would make me stand out from the crowd? To be a successful as a Performance & Improvement Manager, here at YHG, you will have…. Proven experience in performance reporting and continuous improvement principles with relevant Degree qualification. Experience of managing a team and fostering a high-performance culture Knows how to embed lessons learned and root-cause analysis into everyday practice. Brings experience with frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt is a bonus!). Loves solving problems, building relationships, and coaching others to succeed. Ideally you will be: A highly personable and collaborative manager who inspires and develops a high-performing team, creating an environment where ideas are shared, and people thrive. Someone who can see the bigger picture while paying close attention to the details that matter. Someone who values learning and knows how to embed lessons learned and root-cause analysis into everyday practice to drive improvement.
