A bit about the job
You’ll be joining a highly motivated team to assess life insurance, income protection, terminal illness, and critical illness cover insurance claims — from investigation to keeping customers informed and through to claim outcome, providing outstanding customer service.
You’ll operate efficiently across multiple systems, propose process improvements, and adapt to evolving technologies to boost performance. The role will actively collect essential claim details, manage communications, and refer complex issues to specialists when appropriate.
You’ll engage with customers to assess claims, offer assistance, and handle sensitive outcomes with understanding and care. You must maintain clear communication, develop relationships with stakeholders, stay informed on industry developments, guide colleagues, and participate in training and projects.

Skills and experience we’re looking for
* A broad knowledge of life-related products, for example, life insurance, critical illness, income protection, and terminal illness. Knowledge of legal aspects relevant to claims, such as Probate and CIDRA rules.
* The ability to manage claims from start to end, including signing out claims independently and working autonomously.
* Experience in dealing with reinsurers and medical officers, along with experience handling misrepresentation as set out in ABI guidelines.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a desire to deliver high-quality service and a commitment to individual and team performance.
* The ability to prioritize work effectively, anticipate problems, and make decisions confidently and independently.

* Starting salary circa £35,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
