The Role
Prospero Teaching are currently looking to recruit reliable, patient, and caring SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a range of primary schools in the Huyton area.
The schools we work with require additional classroom support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEND
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored interventions
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing strategies
Support students both in the classroom and during non-teaching times (break/lunch)
Requirements
Experience supporting children with SEND in a school, care or similar setting
A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Relevant qualifications ( Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) are desirable
