Manual Turner/ Manual Machinist role at Carbon. Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Manual Turner. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This Manual Turner position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The right candidate will have experience working to fine tolerances using manual lathes and will play a critical role in supporting the precision machining requirements of aircraft components.
Responsibilities
* To operate all types of lathes to fine limits.
* To be able to work unsupervised/minimal supervision.
* To be able to read and understand technical drawings.
* To take responsibility of work and others.
* To observe and comply with company standards of conduct.
* To be able to work on manual lathes working to fine tolerances.
* An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures.
* You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
* You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience.
* All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
* Trained in machine shop technology and working practices.
* Have a minimum of 5 years of experience on manual lathes.
* Experience in Manual and CNC Milling and Grinding desirable.

* Double day shift. One week 6am to 2pm, one week 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly. Location is Hayes.
* Up to £34,078 salary.
