About the role

We are looking for a Senior PR Account Executive to join our PHA North team in their Manchester office. They will have the opportunity to work across the following sectors, food and drink, beauty and wellness, early years and education, legal, hotels, travel and leisure, pets, and fashion.


Client responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, on-brief coverage for clients across both traditional and digital channels, taking accountability for results.

• Proactively identify media angles, digital PR story ideas, link-earning opportunities and GEO-informed content moments to ensure a strong pipeline of activity.

• Refine writing skills across press releases, commentary, media materials, digital PR assets and GEO-supporting copy.

• Share regular updates with clients on coverage, link performance and wider account activity.

• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure all client-facing documents are accurate and up to date, including WIPs, coverage logs, link logs, reports and planning documents.

• Take ownership of client calls, preparing agendas, leading updates across PR, Digital PR and GEO, and documenting and circulating actions.

• Build strong day-to-day relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact across all areas of account delivery.


Digital PR & GEO

• Support the integration of GEO into client briefs by aligning PR activity with local visibility goals, search demand and digital opportunities.

• Work closely with Digital teams to identify keywords, search trends, link gaps and data-led opportunities and translate them into compelling PR and Digital PR ideas.

• Contribute to the delivery of Digital PR campaigns, including ideation, media list development, outreach, coverage generation and reporting.

• Lead day-to-day link-building outreach, online press office activity, journalist request responses, newsjacking, listicles, features and digital-first storytelling.

• Monitor competitor search activity and help identify opportunities for clients to strengthen their earned authority and visibility through PR.

• Ensure all PR outputs support best practice in reputation, quality, E-E-A-T principles and search performance.


Creativity and collaboration

• Bring a stream of fresh, relevant and earned-first ideas to accounts, considering both traditional and digital storytelling opportunities.

• Work closely with the Creative team to develop concepts, content formats, visual assets and data-led stories that can thrive across Digital PR, GEO, and media environments.

• Translate creative thinking into digital-first executions that support search visibility, link acquisition and strong online authority.

• Use insights, trends and data to strengthen and validate creative ideas, ensuring campaigns are both imaginative and measurable.

• Champion creativity within the team, helping to ensure our work cuts through crowded media and digital landscapes.


Growth

• Support the team in identifying new business opportunities, particularly where integrated PR, Digital PR and GEO support can add value.

• Assist in the creation of proposals, creds, case studies and supporting content for Sales and Marketing.

• Contribute digital insights, creative hooks and GEO-aligned opportunity mapping to strengthen new business pitches and divisional growth.


People management

• Demonstrate effective upward management, keeping Account Managers updated on activity, opportunities and challenges while proactively suggesting solutions.

• Provide guidance to junior colleagues across traditional PR, digital PR, writing, media relations and time management, supporting their development.


Industry knowledge

• Build a strong network of journalists, online editors, influencers and digital creators relevant to your client sectors.

• Use sector knowledge and research skills to contribute to planning, campaign strategies, trend spotting and GEO-aligned recommendations.
