The Watch Register
Posted: 24 April
Offer description

The Watch Register is the largest global database of lost, stolen and counterfeit watches. It is used by Police, insurers and theft victims to register losses; and by the pre-owned watch trade and collectors to check the status of watches prior to transactions. The Watch Register is part of the Art Loss Register (ALR), which is the world’s largest database of lost, stolen and looted art, antiques and collectibles. The company has been gathering data on stolen property including watches for 35 years and has become the international leader in market due diligence. Watch-related crime has surged in the last 10-15 years, and The Watch Register is therefore the fastest growing area of business in the ALR and one that has received considerable interest from Police and the press.

We are seeking a new Administrator & Client Relations Associate to join our London team at a time of significant global growth. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a highly motivated team that offers unique services in stolen watch recovery, is proactively developing its market penetration on a global scale, and partners with insurers and law enforcement agencies internationally.

Job description:

* Handling enquiries from clients via email and telephone: general enquiries, account enquiries, support to trade clients, insurers, police forces and victims of theft.
* Referring requests to register lost and stolen watches on the database to the data entry team. Liaising with clients, insurers and police who report losses. Quality control for database registrations in accordance with company standards.
* Capitalising on opportunities arising from correspondence with clients to promote the company’s services where possible.
* Developing the company’s social media presence to raise awareness of its services and improve sales potential.
* Data collection on database operations, loss reporting and recoveries to be used for PR purposes, strategic development planning, and police intelligence.

Person specification:

* A dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
* A confident and engaging telephone manner, with the ability to talk openly and with knowledge about the range of services the company offers.
* An ability to provide outstanding customer service.
* Excellent written language skills and a professional writing style.
* An attention to detail and critical approach to reviewing data submitted by clients to the database.
* Good time management, multi-tasking and capable of working well in a fast-paced environment where client enquiries often require urgent responses. Ability to complete projects alongside handling daily enquiries.
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* An interest in the luxury watch market is required, with some professional experience in the sector preferable.

The company Headquarters is in Blackfriars, central London. The candidate will be expected to work full-time from the office. Standard working hours are 09.00 – 17.30, Monday to Friday.

Full training for this role will be provided. The starting salary for this position is £27,000.

Applicants should contact Katya Hills () with a CV and cover letter expressing their interest and suitability for this role.
