Would you like to be part of our maintenance team at The Mander Centre? Could you help fix and maintain the facility? Our team works to keep the shopping centre to its high standard for all users. Responsibilities include:
1. Completing emergency lighting tests
2. Repairing electrical faults
3. Conducting a variety of repairs
We're looking for an Electrical/Maintenance Engineer to work as part of a team to effectively deliver both a preventative & reactive facilities schedule following guidelines on safety, timescales & budget. Your job:
1. Adhere to daily & weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the site, keeping up to date & accurate records.
2. Follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule; working as part of the team to deliver effectively and on time.
3. Maintain the plant rooms, basement, and mall areas.
4. Be proactive, use your initiative, and take ownership of situations.
5. Proactively anticipate potential safety hazards and be prepared to undertake any emergency actions required.
6. Ensure all work carried out is done within the H&S requirements.
7. Work as part of the wider team, demonstrating a professional & courteous manner to members, assisting with queries they may have.
8. Induct subcontractors, review RAMS, and assist where possible.
9. Work with the lead engineer and report back to the client.
This role will suit someone with the technical knowledge & experience who will thrive on the varied nature of the facilities requirements and work to provide the efficient & smooth running of the retail facilities.
To be a successful Electrical/Maintenance Engineer, you'll have:
* If possible NVQ or A Level 2 qualification of City & Guilds equivalent or higher in any trade skill Maintenance or Install.
* 18th Edition (Ideal)
* Ability to use internal IT systems and communicate effectively using Microsoft 365.
* Ability to work from instruction and make decisions as needed with minimal supervision.
* Friendly & approachable nature with great communication skills.
* Good attention to detail with great time management skills.
40 hours per week Salary PS35,000 - PS40,000
