A leading independent Oil & Gas company based in Norwich, is currently seeking a Technical Safety Engineer to join their busy team. This is a great opportunity to join the QSHE team, where the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of safety engineering support. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with UK HSE legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards and best practice Key responsibilities include • Carry out competent in-house safety studies in support of operations and projects including but not limited to following: o Chairing and facilitating safety studies such as Total Risk Management, HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie, ALARP o Development of Barrier Diagrams (Bowties) o Consequence modelling using DNV GL PHAST software is mandatory o Mini Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) including Event and Fault Tree development o Hazardous Area Classification o Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment • Preparing the scope of requirements, commissioning, managing and reviewing technical safety studies from competent contractors in support of operations and projects including but not limited to following: o QRA and Cost Benefit Analysis o Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Assessment o Probabilistic Explosion Assessment o Quantitative/Qualitative Safety Critical System Impairment Assessment o Occupied Building Risk Assessment • Provide safety engineering support for asset modification proposa...
