Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Coventry – Secondary School Start Date: September 2025 – Monday to Friday Contract Type: Long-term with the potential to become permanent Pay: £90/100 per day. GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Coventry from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and play a crucial role in their academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for students with EHCPs across various year groups. Deliver small group interventions focused on academic, social, or emotional support. Assist teachers in implementing tailored strategies that meet the individual needs of each pupil. Track student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching team. Support students with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and MLD in both classroom and pastoral settings. Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment. Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes for students. Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working in a school or educational setting, ideally supporting students with SEN. A strong understanding of EHCPs and the ability to adapt support plans accordingly. Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude to support diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one. Why Join Us?
