About the Role
As the on-site IT Support Analyst at Trafford Park, you’ll be the go-to expert for second-line support, handling a dynamic mix of software and hardware issues. You’ll also collaborate with our operational technology teams to ensure our manufacturing systems run smoothly and efficiently.
You will be joining a successful, collaborative and friendly team that operates over our UK, Holland, Finland and Sweden manufacturing sites. Your impact won’t stop at Trafford Park—you’ll also provide regular support to our operations in North Wales and Bury, with travel 1–2 days per week when required. You’ll offer remote support and collaborate across our 9 manufacturing sites, with occasional travel further afield for project work.
What You Will Do
1. Working with our global service desk team to deliver hands-on IT support for end users, covering hardware, desktop software, printers, file servers, and local networks
2. Manage and resolve tickets via our ITSM system
3. Ensure correct administration of hardware, software and user accounts in line with company standards and defined processes
4. Be responsible for the local network, servers and telephony infrastructure
5. Be responsible for local management and setup of servers
6. Ensuring compliance with information security standards for all computers, servers and infrastructure
7. Managing the site server room and ensuring that standards are maintained
8. Be responsible for the installation and configuration of collaboration tools, including MS Teams, video conferencing equipment, IP phones and smart phones. Provide instruction and education to users about these tools
9. Support desktop and laptop users working with Windows 10, Windows 11 and Office 365
10. Assist with operational IT support for manufacturing systems
11. Be available for out of hourssupport forissues impacting critical systems at your localmanufacturing site
Who You Are
You’re an experienced IT support professional with a solid grasp of Windows 11, Office 365, server management, and network infrastructure. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not essential.
You’re a natural problem-solver—structured, resourceful, and customer-focused. You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing demands.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as regular travel is part of the role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key—you’ll be building relationships across teams and locations.
