About the organisation: Home‑Start Runnymede and Woking is one of 180 local independent Home‑Start charities across the UK. We support families with young children in community and family home settings, giving them the best possible start in life.
What you'll be doing
* Attend trustee meetings approximately every eight weeks (2 hrs each); meetings take place in person with a virtual option.
* Commit 8–10 hrs of time per month, including meeting preparation and post‑meeting follow‑up.
* Participate in one of our sub‑committees (finance, fundraising, operations) – each sub‑committee meets virtually for 1–1.5 hrs between full trustee meetings.
* Support the board in its strategic direction and governance for families in Runnymede and Woking.
We are looking for you if you have
* Under the age of 40.
* Represent diverse ethnic backgrounds within Woking and Runnymede.
* Lived experience similar to families we support.
* Background in marketing or communications, especially social media, or skills that help raise our profile locally.
* Experience of corporate fundraising.
