Principal Teacher – Simpson Primary School, Bathgate, West Lothian

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant learning community within Simpson Primary School. The school is a non‑denominational school serving the community of Wester Inch in Bathgate, West Lothian. The school accommodates 22 mainstream classes and a nursery class. The school roll currently stands at 638 children in P1‑P7 and accommodates 140 children in the nursery class.

Qualifications & Experience
* A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
* The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3‑month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re‑paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
We are a regulated work environment with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
