The Role:
The post holder acts as a front-line point of contact for the patrons of the Council's Arts Service, based at ISLAND Arts Centre and assists with the day-to-day running of the Arts Service, as required. Operationally, the Arts Attendant is directly responsible to the Arts Administration Coordinator but at times may report to the person acting as Duty Officer of the venue where they are working on any issues of building maintenance heating, lighting, security, hygiene.
The post holder may assume additional duties relevant to the post as reasonably determined by the Arts Administration Coordinator to address changing business needs or requirements which shall include participation in the interchange of duties to cover breaks, annual leave and other absences.

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:
Qualifications
1. - Five GCSE passes at Grade A-C, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, in a related discipline
Experience
2. - A minimum of one years' employment experience gained within an Events and / or Customer Service Environment
Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in above, they must demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience as outlined in above
3. - It is essential that applicants hold a full ( not provisional) and current UK driving licence and access to a car or * have access to a means of transport which would enable the applicant to carry out the duties of the post *

It is desirable that applicants hold:
- A current First Aid certificate
