Department overview The Commercial Aftersales department leads and manages all commercial activities and programs across AML Aftersales including parts and accessories financial performance, global client services support, commercial training and ownership experience programmes. Job purpose Lead and develop the Heritage & VH parts strategy focused on commercial revenue and profitability, parts inventory control and customer and dealer technical support. Key duties and responsibilities Lead the Heritage & VH commercial parts function, focused on maximizing revenue generation and profitability through the AML network & Heritage parts partners achieving financial budgets by defining and executing marketing plans, targeted promotions, pricing strategies and offers Manage Heritage & VH inventory working in conjunction with central parts operations team to optimize parts availability, control inventory and obsolescence. Lead the Aftersales Legal & Compliance Programme, working with an administrator focusing on the creation, maintenance and distribution of L&C documents (Including Certificates of Conformity COC’s) to customers and dealers upon request Lead process of reviewing Heritage & VH risk parts and in conjunction with procurement and engineering work to develop clear and detailed business cases including updating technical information and drawings, explore and propose new supply options to re-introduce obsolete parts. Drive commercial performance of the Heritage Parts Partner network (c11sites) to achieve defined targets whilst providing technical and commercial support. Manage Heritage archive and ensure up to date digital cataloguing of technical drawings and vehicle information whilst defining clear business plans to commercialize documentation and artwork Experience and qualifications Essential experience Customer focused mindset and drive to provide a luxury customer experience Process driven with the ability to create and embed Commercially focused and experienced in an automotive or an associated sector Highly organized, driven individual with a proactive approach to problems Confident, accurate and highly professional Proven ability to communicate highly effectively and concisely across a range of stakeholders at all levels Methodical with high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Solution orientated and tenacious in the face of a challenge Ability to prioritize workload and work to tight deadlines Comprehensive IT skills: using mainly Microsoft systems (Excel, Powerpoint) Preferred experience Engineering/ Technical experience of automotive and/or parts manufacturing Interest and knowledge of Aston Martin models from DB4 (1958) to Rapide (2016) Good understanding of wider automotive classic and special vehicle space Essential education/ qualifications Educated to Degree level desired but not essential Required skills/ behaviours Demonstrates behaviours of our core values: Unity, Trust, Openness, Ownership & Courage Organized, proactive & able to work with high levels of autonomy PC literate with experience in proprietary BI/ERP systems Excellent knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint Strong numeracy and analytical skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex business relationships An interest in luxury industry trends and the transformation of automotive Additional requirements Flexible to support meetings/calls across time zones Occasional travel to Dealers / Regions may be required Hiring manager: Alex Leigh Grade: 9 Positions: One Belong at Aston Martin At Aston Martin, we believe that the stunning beauty, craftsmanship, and artistry that define our brand come from the diverse voices and talents of our extraordinary team.
