Overview
Project Manager - Regulated Water – Jacobs, Peterborough, United Kingdom
You will lead the delivery of detailed design and Design & Build projects in the water and wastewater sector, joining Jacobs offices across the UK to reinforce existing teams and support our frameworks with UK Water Companies. You will oversee infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases: feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
* Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and risk to ensure successful delivery.
* Oversee technical design reviews and ensure constructability, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation including programmes, cost plans, and progress reports.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in managing water and wastewater projects, ideally within UK regulatory frameworks.
* Strong understanding of both infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, sewers) and non-infrastructure assets.
* Experience in Design & Build delivery models and detailed design coordination.
* Project Management Qualification; Member of ICE or CIWEM
