About the Role
Join our fast-paced kitchen at the White Bull Restaurant, serving high-quality, farm-fresh food. As a Chef, youll help deliver excellent dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, presentation, and consistency. You'll prepare and cook meals to order, support smooth service during busy periods, and contribute to seasonal menu development using locally sourced ingredients. This role suits someone with strong culinary skills, a passion for great food, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation align with White Bull Restaurant expectations.
* Work efficiently during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of meals without compromising quality.
* Maintain strict food hygiene, cleanliness, and allergen control in line with Cannon Hall Farms food safety policies and legal standards.
* Monitor ingredient levels, minimise waste, and contribute to efficient use of stock.
* Follow set recipes and specifications accurately; provide feedback and ideas for seasonal and local menu development.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service and positive guest experiences.
* Ensure correct use and cleaning of kitchen equipment and support daily cleaning routines.
* Remain calm, focused, and productive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Qualifications
* Level 2 food hygiene
* NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery, or equivalent hands-on kitchen experience.
* Understanding of allergen management.
Skills/Experience
* Experience in fast paced kitchen.
* Proven ability to perform under pressure during busy service periods.
* Experience working with fresh ingredients and following recipes or specs accurately.
* Hands-on experience in a kitchen where food safety and cleanliness are a priority.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others in a professional kitchen setting.
* Experience managing ingredients, storage, and prepping stations efficiently.
