Assistant Practitioner – Community Nursing (Brighton West PCN)
We have an exciting opportunity to offer a motivated individual interested in working within the Brighton West PCN Community Nursing team as an Assistant Practitioner with a Foundation Degree, or Qualified Nursing Associate, where they can utilize their experience, skills and talents.
We offer a comprehensive induction programme, and excellent ongoing professional development opportunities, including potential for access to Apprenticeship for Registered Nurse Training.
The team operates 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, 08:00 – 18:00, so a flexible approach is essential.

Responsibilities
* Support and deliver a range of clinical activities in line with patients' individual care and treatment plans.
* Participate in audit activities.
* Support Healthcare Assistants and student nurses on placements within the team.
* Provide wound care, injections, urinary catheterisation, and compression therapy to housebound patients.
* Work independently with guidance and direction of Registered Nurses, and supervise with a Band 6 Community Sister.
* Work autonomously and demonstrate initiative with sound clinical knowledge and judgement.
Qualifications
* Foundation Degree, or Qualified Nursing Associate.
* Excellent clinical, communication, and team-working skills.
* Full UK driving licence and car for work purposes.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Experience working in the community is an advantage.
* Willingness to develop new skills and embrace change.
