Maths Tutor Location: Pocklington, North Yorkshire Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only Salary: £26 – £33 per hour GSL Education is seeking an experienced Maths Tutor for a secondary school in Pocklington. This job role is suitable for a Maths Teacher looking for a different pace in the classroom, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a recent Maths Graduate. As a Maths Tutor, you will be: Planning and delivering GCSE Maths intervention for students on a 1:1 basis. Liaising with class teachers to promote learning gaps. Supporting students to build confidence, close learning gaps, and prepare for GCSE exams. Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of learners, including those with SEND. Using assessment for learning (AfL) strategies to monitor progress and provide feedback. The ideal Maths Tutor will: Hold a degree in Mathematics or a related subject (or have relevant teaching experience). Have experience working with young people in a school or tuition setting. Be patient, proactive, and committed to helping students reach their full potential. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education).
