Job summary

As an Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for the residents. Your role will involve devising imaginative, fun, and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with the aim of maximizing the residents' wellbeing, independence, and social engagement.


Main duties of the job

In this role as an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and organizing a wide range of activities for the residents of the care home. This will involve getting to know the residents and their families, understanding their interests and abilities, and then creating tailored activity programs that keep them engaged and stimulated. Your warm, empathetic, and personable approach will inspire both the residents and staff to participate in the activities, both within the home and in the local community. You will need strong organizational skills and a driven mindset to ensure that everything is executed effectively.
