VACANCIES
The Bewdley School is a comprehensive 11 to 18 school serving the town of Bewdley and its surroundings. The majority of students come from affluent backgrounds with a lower than national average number attracting Pupil Premium. Despite this, the intake is truly comprehensive and the school caters for all abilities and aptitudes. Student behaviour is good and teachers are able to deliver lessons in a calm and supportive environment.
From a professional development perspective, the school has a growing culture of inquiry-based research and professional learning. Monitoring is low key and approached collaboratively, with an emphasis on developing the professional independence and capability of teachers, as a highly skilled self-supporting professional learning community. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum at Key Stage 3 with a healthy emphasis on creative subjects and a full range of GCSE and Advanced Level subjects.
If you would like to teach to the full spectrum of demand, from those with specific learning difficulties to unconventional thinkers and future Russell Group students, Bewdley will not disappoint. The school offers an idyllic rural setting well-maintained high quality facilities and enthusiastic and supportive colleagues. The leadership culture is open and collegiate with many opportunities to develop your leadership skills.
