Monitor and assess pupil progress against EHCP targets and personalised learning outcomes. Promote independence, communication, and life skills through a holistic curriculum. Manage complex behaviours with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement techniques. Build strong, respectful relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals. Contribute actively to the wider school community and the ongoing development of SEN provision. Candidate Profile Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience working in SEN settings, particularly with pupils with PMLD. Strong understanding of EHCPs, sensory approaches, and communication methods such as PECS and Makaton. Patient, adaptable, and resilient, with a compassionate and nurturing approach. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
