Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant!

Location: Huddersfield


Contract: 12-month fixed term, part-time, term time only (2 days a week: Wednesday & Friday)


Salary: £21,257.48 - £23,232.69 (pro rata: £12,754.48 - £13,938.62)

About Our School

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:



* Support one pupil or a small group (maximum six)


* Assist the classroom teacher during lessons


* Report on progress and concerns, liaising with school staff


* Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips


* Help with lesson planning and preparation


* Set work and mark where appropriate


* Build positive relationships and support learning outcomes




What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:



* Strong basic education (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT skills


* Experience in a similar role (teaching assistant experience is desirable)


* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH in an educational setting


* The ability to take responsibility for areas such as food hygiene, forest school, or activities


* Experience in behaviour management


* A commitment to professional development


* A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
