Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge? NHS Forth Valley has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team working within GP practices. As a Primary Care Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting safe, effective pharmaceutical care, ensuring patients get the best possible outcome from their medicines. You will join a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers delivering a well-respected Pharmacotherapy Service. You will have effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to work in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team in hospital, community pharmacy and care homes settings to ensure seamless pharmaceutical care.
You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council before you can apply for this post. Travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
Responsibilities
* Support safe, effective pharmaceutical care and ensure patients get the best possible outcome from their medicines.
* Be part of a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers delivering Pharmacotherapy Service.
* Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team in hospital, community pharmacy and care homes to ensure seamless pharmaceutical care.
* Travel within the area of service delivery as required.
* Possess or be willing to obtain PVG scheme membership as required for the role.
Qualifications
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills; ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
Additional information
* The Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week from 1/4/26. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate; pay will not be affected.
