Qualified Social Worker

Pay rate: £35 per hour
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join a dedicated MASH team. As part of the MASH, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide earlier help. Responsibilities include carrying out Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial MASH Conference, and working with children in need while planning for permanence from day one. You will conduct assessment work directly with children and families and collaborate with agencies including police and health to ensure the best outcomes and sustainable positive change.
The role involves working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, supporting the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your social work expertise and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.

Perfect candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Experience in Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases.
* Supporting children and families involved in CIN and Child Protection planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings.
* Understanding factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect.
* Ability to undertake Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review.
* Proficient in direct work with children and families.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach.
* Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues.
* Committed to continuous improvement for the best outcomes.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
* Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Dedicated to providing high-quality services.
* Experience working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency team.
* At least 2 years of qualified experience.

* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Employ specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Devise individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
