Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports coach to oversee the daily operations of our sports facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and a strong background in coaching or teaching, enabling them to foster a positive environment for both staff and participants. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage various activities, and a commitment to promoting health and fitness within the community.
Duties
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the sports centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and safe for use.
* Develop and implement sports programmes that cater to various age groups and skill levels.
* Supervise and train staff, including coaches and administrative personnel, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Coordinate schedules for events, classes, and training sessions, optimising facility usage.
* Engage with the community to promote participation in sports activities and events.
* Monitor budgets and financial performance, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Maintain records of attendance, participation rates, and feedback to assess programme effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the centre.
Requirements
* Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* A passion for sports and promoting an active lifestyle within the community.
