Electrical Maintenance Engineer - RAF Marham
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to carry out the PPM and Reactive activities in accordance with contractual agreements on a site at RAF Marham.
Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:
* Maintain close liaison with the Engineering Team, Contract Delivery Manager, and Engineering Manager.
* Attend all allocated internal/external training courses.
* Complete SFG20/HTM PPMs, reactive and proactive tasks, updating the CAFM system via PDA to meet contractual obligations.
* Ensure daily checks are completed; report or repair defects using helpdesk or reactive works ticketing system via PDA.
* Maintain accurate records for both PPM and reactive works.
* Maintain electrical engineering standards to maximize efficient operation and reliability of plant and systems.
* Report all accidents and near misses to line managers.
* Supervise ongoing works, special task requests, and housekeeping standards.
* Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Record all statutory inspections and electrical work undertaken timely and accurately.
* Be available for out-of-hours calls and site cover on planned event days when required.
* Monitor third-party contractors’ work performance and standards, including internal audits with the Contract Delivery Manager/Engineering Manager.
* Ensure Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off, inspecting work quality and escalating recommendations.
* Maintain cleanliness in plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
* Operate and troubleshoot building systems such as BMS, air handling/conditioning, water services, fire detection, electrical systems, and controls.
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience include:
* C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation.
* C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred) or 2330 Levels 2 & 3.
* Basic plumbing skills.
* Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
* Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
* Experience in basic fabric reactive repairs.
* Understanding of health and safety obligations related to maintenance.
* Willingness to work out of hours and participate in a call-out rota.
* Good communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
