Our client is a well-established and well-known organisation that provides sales and letting on a commercial and residential basis. They now require an experienced property manager to join their team. The role will involve managing long-term commercial and residential lets within Yorkshire. A driving licence and vehicle are required for site visits, with expenses covered for journeys within a 20-mile radius of Wakefield. This role is suitable for someone who has experience in residential, commercial, or facilities management settings.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing, renewing, and maintaining all tenancies for residential and commercial properties.
2. Liaising with tenants for renewals.
3. Coordinating with Letting Agents for vacant properties and new tenants, whether short-term, long-term, or ongoing.
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
5. Conducting inspections of residential properties and resolving issues.
6. Inspecting properties upon tenant vacate and managing repairs and bond deductions.
7. Inspecting Fire, Health, and Safety policies.
8. Updating the internal accounts team on rent payments and following up on late payments.
9. Managing and inspecting maintenance for commercial and residential properties.
10. Ensuring all necessary certifications and inspections (EPC, Electric, CO Detectors, PAT, Smoke Alarms, Gas) are up to date.
11. Verifying that alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lights, air conditioning, lifts, and other safety equipment are compliant and regularly serviced.
