People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our well-established client based in Hinckley on a full-time permanent basis.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday – 08:30 to 16:30
(3 days workshop-based, 2 days on the road UK-wide. Optional overseas work also available)

Day to Day Duties:
* Diagnose and repair refrigeration and electrical issues on machinery
* Service, maintain and install food machinery
* Handle both UK-wide customer visits and on-site workshop repairs
* Liaise with farms, shops and other end-users to provide technical support
* Carry out routine maintenance, fault finding and documentation
* Prepare machinery for shipping or installation
* Follow Health & Safety and compliance procedures at all times
* Refrigeration and electrical engineering experience
* Good mechanical understanding and hands-on capability
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong communication skills and professional customer service
* Comfortable working both independently and in a team
* Willingness to travel across the UK (overnight stays occasionally required)
* Valid Passport
* Experience working in the food or dairy industry
* F-Gas certified (or willing to become certified)
* Previous work with ice cream machines or food processing equipment
* Flexible to travel internationally for short periods
Training:
* Full industry-related training will be provided, along with ongoing technical support.
* Opportunities to up-skill in specialist food machinery and refrigeration compliance will also be available
