I'm currently working with a highly regarded, independent planning consultancy based in Bedford that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional to develop their career within a supportive, commercially focused environment that works across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Opportunity
You'll be joining a well-established consultancy with a strong regional presence and an expanding client base. The team works across a broad range of sectors including:
* Residential (strategic and immediate)
* Commercial and mixed-use
* Rural and land promotion
* Local plan representations and appeals
You will play an active role in managing planning applications, preparing supporting documentation, liaising with local authorities, and advising clients throughout the planning process.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
* Drafting planning statements and supporting documents
* Managing projects from instruction through to decision
* Providing clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
* Engaging with stakeholders, local authorities, and consultants
* Assisting with site appraisals and development strategy work
About You
* MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
* Experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Commercial awareness and client-facing confidence
* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
