Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Kitchen and Interiors Designer role based in the Kent Area, United Kingdom. The designer will develop concept designs and detailed layouts for bespoke kitchens and interiors, including cabinetry, surfaces, and finishes. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, preparing technical and construction drawings, selecting FF&E, and coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and joiners to ensure accurate delivery and installation. The role involves meeting clients, taking briefs and site measurements, presenting design proposals and samples, and revising designs based on feedback. The designer will also support project coordination, maintain project documentation, and help ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning to create functional, aesthetically cohesive kitchen and interior layouts.
* Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to produce clear, buildable plans and details for bespoke joinery and interiors.
* Experience with FF&E selection, including finishes, fixtures, fittings, and materials suitable for high-quality residential interiors.
* Strong visual communication skills, including sketching, mood boards, and presentation of design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
* Competence with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), plus Microsoft Office or equivalent tools.
* Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to interpret briefs, manage expectations, and handle feedback constructively.
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with experience coordinating multiple projects and working to deadlines.
* Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; experience in high-end residential or kitchen design is highly beneficial.
