Job type: Part time | Salary: £20.33 Hourly (rate dependent on experience; newly qualified nurses may start at £18.27 per hour rising to £19.30 after one year post-qualification/registration)
Overview: To lead the care team to ensure the delivery of high standards of care in accordance with Beaumont Care Homes Ltd policies and procedures, promoting rehabilitation where appropriate and independence with dignity and respect for residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and oversee the highest possible standards of person-centred care, continually assessing residents’ needs and wishes to enhance quality of life.
* Champion independence and personal choice; develop, review and update care plans to meet changing needs.
* Oversee all aspects of medicine management during your shift, ensuring medicines are received, stored and administered in line with policies and legislation.
* Build and maintain a positive reputation for the business; communicate warmly and professionally with visitors, family, and external stakeholders.
* Ensure positive resident experience from admission to discharge.
* Participate in inspection visits from RQIA, Trusts and CCGs; ensure teams are prepared for inspections.
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines; proactively manage risks and report issues appropriately.
* Maintain rigorous monitoring and recording practices; document admissions, care planning, reviews and incident reporting.
* Promote a cohesive team approach; support staff to deliver high-quality care and feel valued.
* Foster an environment where staff feel connected to residents and the organisation.
* Support Home Manager in achieving host home targets; lead by example in nursing standards and efficient shift operation.
* Participate in all aspects of resident care; mentor others in line with the NMC Code and practice within its guidance.
* Attend relevant internal and external meetings and regular performance appraisals.
* Engage in continual professional development and meet revalidation requirements.

What you will need
Required criteria
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Numerate and literate with effective verbal and written communication
* Proficient in IT and communication systems required for the role
* Ability to develop internal and external professional relationships
* Ability to work under pressure while motivating the team
Desired criteria
* Experience delivering nursing care in elderly healthcare
* People management experience
* Experience with quality and clinical governance programmes, including audits
