About the team and the role
We are embarking on a strategic transformation of our Treasury function. This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, playing a key role in driving modernising our processes, leveraging technology, and strengthening our financial resilience.
The position presents the opportunity and challenge of working in both a dynamic and exciting environment within the UK’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer.
What you’ll do
1. Lead the end-to-end migration of bank accounts to a new provider and financial integration with the relevant systems
2. Implementation of a Supply Chain Finance programme
3. Drive technology and process improvements, including automation of cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliation, and other digital solutions (leveraging AI where possible). Re-engineer processes across Treasury, AP, and AR to reduce manual work and improve data exchange.
4. Oversee daily treasury operations such as cash positioning, bank reconciliation, and payment processing. Provide cover for the Treasury Analyst when required.
5. Lead liquidity monitoring and continuously improve short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting using advanced modelling. Recommend optimal use of surplus cash through deposits, short-term investments, and broader investment strategy
6. Deliver accurate and timely month-end and reports for senior stakeholders. Use data analytics and AI tools to strengthen controls, documentation, and reporting.
7. Strategic & Risk Support: Support the Treasurer in developing and executing treasury strategy, and represent the function in audits to ensure strong governance and risk management.
Who you are
Essential
8. Demonstrated treasury experience
9. Qualified or studying towards ACT (Association of Corporate Treasurers) or another professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
10. Solid Treasury operations experience, ideally with exposure to systems projects.
11. Proficient excel skills, adept at spreadsheet compilation and analysis reporting.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to use technology and data effectively.
13. Comfortable balancing day-to-day with longer-term project responsibilities.
14. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Desirable
15. Experience with projects (bank account migration, H2H implementation, Treasury best practices)
16. Supply Chain Finance programme
17. Some experience of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion)
