About the Role
We are seeking a committed and qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our partner schools across Blackburn and Darwen. You will work directly inside classrooms and school environments, supporting pupils with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
This is a full-time, school-facing role ideal for someone passionate about helping children access learning, build confidence, and develop essential communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions
Complete assessments and design therapy plans
Support children with speech delays, language processing difficulties, social communication needs, and wider SLCN
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, pastoral teams, and families
Contribute to EHCPs and SEN reviews as needed
Model communication strategies to staff to improve classroom practice
Requirements (Must-Have)
Recognised Speech & Language Therapy qualification
HCPC registration (or awaiting registration if newly qualified)
Experience working with children or young people
Willingness to work in a classroom/school environment every day
Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
