We operate all year round, and due to the nature of the work, you will work a range of shifts covering daytimes, weekends, and bank holidays. Your contractual workweek is an average of .5 hours per week, on a rolling rota including weekends. Evening shifts range from 5 pm to 1 am; flexibility is key as there may be occasions when you start earlier or finish later. The rota is provided approximately weeks in advance, allowing you flexibility to enjoy meaningful time off.
Key Responsibilities
About the Role:
You’ll visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment, working alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. You’ll build confidence with the individuals, reassure them of their safety, and help reduce pressure on the prison system by assisting ex-prisoners to reintegrate into the community. Every day and individual are different, making this role varied and full of opportunities.
You’ll receive 3 weeks of training and be accompanied by an experienced Officer/Mentor until comfortable. Due to genuine occupational requirements and contractual obligations, we particularly welcome applications from female candidates, in line with the Equality Act 0.
What you need to do the job:
Our current Electronic Monitoring Field Officers come from diverse backgrounds. What matters is your commitment to making a difference. You will learn during the 2-week initial training and through shadowing and mentorship. You must have a valid UK driver’s license, be reasonably fit, and possess good written and verbal communication skills to build rapport with individuals.
