Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, supervising kitchen staff, and contributing to menu development.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
* Oversee food safety practices and maintain cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
* Manage inventory, order supplies, and control portion sizes to minimise waste
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistency in food quality
* Collaborate with front-of-house team to coordinate service times and optimise guest satisfaction
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards
* Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly
Experience
* Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
* Strong team management skills with the ability to lead a diverse culinary team effectively
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Please also note that candidates must be able to commute to and from the workplace. We are located in killearn which is a 40 minute drive from Glasgow city centre. A full uk drivers license and means to get to location is a must.
