As we expand our Export and Partner business, we are seeking a Commercial Export Operator to support quotation management and export bookings. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and our in-house Export team to ensure efficient coordination, accurate pricing, and seamless execution for our key clients.
Your Role
Act as the primary contact for complex export pricing across Air, Sea, and Road.
Work with Commercial Director to develop effective strategies and maintain up-to-date tariffs.
Oversee the end-to-end booking process and support the Manchester team in the daily execution of shipments.
Work with carriers and third-party suppliers to ensure healthy margins while maintaining high service quality.
Play a lead role in the onboarding of key clients, implementing specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and providing expert advice on export regulations.
What Youll Need
Essential
Proven experience in a freight forwarding or export environment with deep knowledge of Air/Sea/Road processes.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to spot opportunities to improve margins.
Familiarity with Incoterms 2020, customs declarations, and export documentation such as Bills of Lading and NES entries.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with global partners and internal teams.
Desirable
Proficiency in freight management software, specifically CargoWise.
