Working in our UK support functions, you'll play a key part in helping our customer-facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care. The role is part of the Data Operations team within the UKI Data & Analytics department, focusing on developing new analytic and production data reporting solutions based on principles of production effectiveness and optimization.
How you'll help us make health happen:
1. Maintain a sound knowledge of business operations, with a high level of data technical expertise.
2. Collaborate with analysts, non-technical business managers, and colleagues to understand desired outcomes and insights needed for decision-making.
3. Communicate effectively to help colleagues understand work processes, establish business needs, and evolve requirements and solutions.
4. Support the month-end production process, evolving automation and migrating from SAS EG to Viya and Snowflake data solutions.
5. Develop and test new production codes and processes end-to-end.
6. Work on technology-driven tasks as well as business and regulatory-focused tasks, involving data exploration and agile solution development.
7. Establish quality checking procedures to ensure solutions are effective, robust, and appropriate.
8. Recommend improvements and actively seek opportunities to optimize existing business data solutions.
Requirements include proven experience with industry-standard tools processing large, complex datasets; experience with healthcare and finance data sets is advantageous. Strong skills in database programming languages are preferred.
Experience working with RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server, and cloud-based platforms like Snowflake, is required. Proficiency in at least one SQL dialect (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL) and SAS language is necessary.
The ability to identify technological efficiencies and implement solutions to deliver benefits is essential. Candidates must handle confidential data responsibly, understanding data governance controls.
