Offer description

Go back Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust

Static Physiotherapist

The closing date is 18 June 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for a Static Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join the Trust.

We have a full-time post available. The post offers an excellent foundation for anyone looking to develop their skills in this dynamic area of physiotherapy.

Locations: Evesham/Pershore, Bromsgrove, Malvern/Upton, and Worcester/Droitwich. You will be supported by a highly experienced local team, including clinical and operational team leads, Advanced Practitioners, First Contact Practitioners, and fellow physiotherapists within the Trust.

You will benefit from ongoing personal and professional development through daily ad-hoc learning opportunities, as well as participation in our structured five‑weekly in‑service training and clinical supervision programme. The service has strong, well‑established links with partners across the county, and the Trust offers a clear structure for career progression, coaching, and mentoring. There are excellent opportunities to gain new skills, be involved in innovative clinical developments, and, if applicable, enrol onto the Trust’s preceptorship programme.

This post will be based between Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove and Evesham Community Hospital, with clinics being held at both sites, although there may be a need to work in other sites county wide depending on the needs of the service.

This is a full‑time post.

Main duties of the job

The role involves the assessment and delivery of physiotherapy interventions for adults across Worcestershire, working within a busy outpatient department based in local community hospitals. You will assess, treat, and manage a varied MSK caseload, with referrals received from GPs, acute services in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, and self‑referrals. This caseload will include patients with acute conditions such as fractures and post‑operative presentations, as well as those with longer‑term MSK conditions including low back pain, osteoarthritis, and tendinopathies. You will be expected, when clinically appropriate, to refer on to other services such as Advanced Practice Physiotherapy, MDT pathways, strength classes, and the Functional Restoration Service. You will engage fully in supervision with senior team members and participate in our scheduled professional activity programme.

We expect the postholder to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care supported by evidence‑based practice. You will also have opportunities to contribute to service development, support the teaching and supervision of colleagues and students, and play a role in shaping future service provision.

A key aspect of the role involves contributing to our well‑established Practice‑Based Learning programme for physiotherapy students from the University of Worcester.
