The Position
To assist with ongoing high-voltage and grid connection projects throughout the South East, we are looking for a proactive and skilled Health & Safety Officer.
In order to ensure safe working conditions, legal compliance, and a positive safety culture across all project phases, the chosen candidate will be in charge of promoting and upholding the highest levels of environmental, health, and safety compliance across several active sites.

Principal Duties
* Oversee on‑site health and safety initiatives for several substation and high‑voltage projects.
* In accordance with client and business requirements, conduct routine audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
* Assist project teams in creating method statements, RAMS, and safe work practices.
* Conduct training seminars, toolbox lectures, and safety inductions for site staff.
* Investigate non‑conformities, events, and near‑misses; create reports on corrective action.
* Maintain adherence to HSE and CDM laws by collaborating closely with clients, site management, and technical teams.
* Encourage ongoing development and cultivate a robust, proactive safety culture.
Requirements
* An equivalent HSE qualification, such as the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), is required.
* Shown expertise working in utilities, construction, electrical, or high‑voltage fields.
* Strong knowledge of best practices, HSE laws, and CDM.
* Outstanding leadership and communication abilities.
* The capacity to collaborate with varied teams and work across several project sites.
* Full driving licence in the United Kingdom.
* For outstanding applicants who are already in the UK or who have relevant experience in the HV industry elsewhere, sponsorship is possible.
