Job Title: Family Support Worker and Specialist Teacher
Location: Longdon Hall School, Near Lichfield, WS15 4PT
Salary: Up to GBP33,000.00 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday 8.30am - 4.30pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent, Full time

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Family Support Worker to join our team at Longdon Hall School, Near Lichfield.
About the role
* The role involves providing social and emotional support to families during vulnerable times, focusing on positive outcomes for children. It requires working directly with families both at the school and in the community.
* Promoting good attendance to support effective learning and social development.
* Supporting pupils who cannot attend school, helping them progress academically and personally, and planning their transition back to school.
* Ensuring pupil safeguarding at all times.
* As a Specialist Teacher, delivering targeted interventions for students facing barriers to learning, including SEMH challenges, to re-engage them with education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing emotional and practical support to families at home, in the community, or during school support evenings.
* Building trusting relationships with parents and young people to reduce social isolation and increase capacity.
* Supporting pupils in their return to school.
* Understanding local resources and services, including Mental Health Teams, Social Services, CAMHS, and voluntary organizations, and communicating effectively with them.
* Supporting Early Help Assessments and implementing related plans within the school.
