The role

Caretaker (Estate Compliance Officer) Salary: £ 25,635 per annum plus benefits. 37 hours per week. Field-based with regular travel across Somerset. Permanent Contract. Closing date for applications:

The role & what you take care of:

You will be part of the Estate Service Team, covering Magna sites across Somerset. We work as part of a team that embraces diversity and recognises that together we can all achieve outstanding results. Performing a variety of comprehensive Estates duties, including testing fire alarms, emergency lighting, and automatic opening vents (AOVs), as well as waste removal, litter collection and communal cleaning. Providing high-quality Estate services across Magna-owned properties. Conducting regular inspections, such as health and safety, security, and fire inspections, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Surveying garage sites to ensure the security and safety of units before they are re-let. Acting as a key liaison with customers and contractors to resolve issues and representing Magna in a professional manner.

What you need to be successful: Experience of managing a mobile workforce. Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently handle various situations. Polite and approachable, offering advice and guidance. Proven track record in maintenance and customer-focused services. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Fire Safety Act 2021 and general health & safety. Manual driving licence with capability to drive up to a 3.5T vehicle.
