We are exclusively recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager on a permanent basis for a professional servicespany based in Salisbury. This role offers hybrid working (2-3 days on site). The organisation has circa 1500 users, and you will have 6 direct redirect reports, including a Service Desk Manager and IT Support Analysts.

Your new role

As the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for driving service improvement, owning and strengthening the organisation's ITIL processes. Building positive relationships with the usermunity, positioning the IT Service Desk as a trusted and reliable service to the business.

The organisation is largely on prem at the moment, with plans to migrate to the Cloud over the next couple of years, so you'll be joining the business at an exciting time as they are in the very early stages of their transformation.

You will oversee management of the service desk team and function, including recruitment, training and performance management. As well as monitoring
and maintaining SLAs and KPIs, you will co-ordinate Major Incident Reviews, ensuring that any required actions are recorded and implemented and maintain the Service Portfolio and Service Catalogue, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.

We are also looking for someone who has remained hands-on technically to some extent, to oversee and manage change requests relating to automation and asset management.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous experience as a Service Delivery Manager (we are flexible on whether that is within an enterprise environment of SME), with knowledge of IT Service Management lifecycle stages demonstrated through your experience. As well as knowledge and experience of implementing, managing and improving IT Service Management processes following ITIL.


You will demonstrate a flexible approach to people management and problem-solving, and lead by example, acting as an escalation point for the service desk function when needed.
Due to the nature of the business, all employees must have SC Clearance and a valid UK car driving licence. You do not need current SC Clearance for this role, but need to be eligible for it.


What you'll get in return
