Overview
PHP Developer – Doncaster (Hybrid Remote) – £40k
Ada Meher are partnered with an established development house on the outskirts of Doncaster to recruit a new PHP Developer into one of their development squads. The team (≈30 developers) works across BAU, new platform/feature development, and refactoring to reduce technical debt. This role will focus on Fleet Management and Recovery systems. The company is exploring early stage R&D in LLMs and AI.
They operate on a hybrid remote basis, balancing collaboration with the project team in the office and remote work. Candidates should be permanent residents with the right to work in the UK and be willing to commute to the Doncaster office 1–2 days a week.

Responsibilities
* Contribute to in-house project work with a focus on Fleet Management and Recovery systems.
* Engage in native PHP development with experience in relevant MVC frameworks (preferably Laravel).
* Work on new feature development, platform enhancements, and refactoring to reduce technical debt.
* Collaborate with teams and adhere to SOLID principles and PSR standards.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in native PHP.
* Demonstrable experience with relevant MVC frameworks (preferably Laravel).
* Experience working to SOLID principles.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of TDD is desirable but not essential.
