About the role

If you are an experienced Electrical Engineering Professional with a gift for assessing, mentoring, training and coaching others, or if looking for a new rewarding challenge we want to hear from you.
As a Electrical Engineering trainer / Assessor you will be responsible for delivering outstanding learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire apprentices to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully pass their apprenticeship and progress in their career. This role will include the delivery of coaching sessions to support learners in completion of the apprenticeship. This will take the form of regular progress review meetings with both learners and their employers.
This role will be based at B111 at Sellafield.
In this role you will support the progressive development of the apprenticeship assessment / training materials.
Qualifications
* Have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
* Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Be able to travel throughout West Cumbria
* Hold an assessor qualification or be willing to work towards attaining (desirable)
* Hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards attaining (desirable)
Skills
Effective communicator and team player with relevant industry experience as an Electrical Engineer.
Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and IT systems essential.
Experience
* Relevant industry experience as a Electrical Engineer essential
* Experience of delivering and developing Electrical Engineering courses
* Experience of Training Needs Analysis and Programme Design
* Knowledge of alternative teaching/learning options
* An understanding of the Advanced Apprenticeship Framework and the funding process
* An intermediate level of understanding of MS office applications

Salary
Starting salary: £38,252.88
Qualified salary: £40,385.09
