Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Teacher to work at a range of client schools in Manchester. The successful candidate will be working in areas such as Gorton, Moss-Side and Levenshulme. Job Summary: As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for covering classes in various subjects and ability levels when regular teachers are absent. Your primary role will be to maintain a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment, ensuring that students continue to progress academically during your tenure. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality lessons in a variety of subjects and grade levels, as needed. Maintain a positive and structured classroom atmosphere, promoting learning and student engagement. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and development. Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure consistency in teaching methods and student support. Adapt to different teaching environments and curriculum requirements. Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required. Maintain a professional demeanour and adhere to the school’s policies and procedures. Ideal Candidate: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or relevant subject field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to obtain it. Previous experience as a Supply Teacher or in a similar role, preferably with an ex-military background. Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach across different grade levels. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Flexibility and adaptability to work in various school settings and environments. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for education.
