£46,087 - £51,208 depending on experience
Home based (with occasional travel to Worcester/Birmingham Business Park offices as required)
Here at Platform Housing Group, our forward‑thinking IT team has an exciting opportunity for a strong Cloud & Infrastructure Analyst to provide management, operational support and optimisation of the Cloud and on‑premise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) and contribute to the advancement of ICT and other digital initiatives in support of the strategic directions of the Group.
This role requires a strong focus on Azure Cloud and solid skills in VMware and Windows OS for on‑premise support.
As our Cloud & Infrastructure Analyst, you will lead the cloud server and storage aspects of ICT infrastructure projects, plan and execute migration strategies from on‑premise to Azure; you will design, implement and manage Azure cloud infrastructure as well as maintain VMware virtual environments.
You will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance across the whole IT Directorate, promoting an active ICT learning environment within the Group with a focus on best practice and performance.
What are we looking for?
* Proven experience in a similar cloud and on‑premise infrastructure role, with strong working knowledge of Azure Cloud
* Experience of Windows PowerShell scripting
* Proven experience in administering Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings (VMs, Virtual Networks, Storage, Azure Active Directory, etc.)
* Extensive experience in Azure Security Centre, RBAC, encryption, and compliance frameworks
* Strong experience of Azure Arc, on‑prem integration, and migration strategies
* Experience advising and deploying Azure resources i.e. logic apps, functions, Automations
* Ability to develop procedure documents and maintain detailed database‑related documents
* Extensive experience working with VMware technologies
* Experience in server (Physical and Virtual) support including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy
* Experience of implementing Cyber Security Standards against ever‑advancing threats – infrastructure hardening
* ITIL change and incident processes, and the ability to assess potential network impacts of technical changes
